Foot Clinic The human foot is a complicated structure and has to deal with the stresses and strains over a life time. The Foot Clinic at Action First is able to offer a one stop shop for most foot conditions and problems as well as offering general foot care and advice.
Initial Consultation Appointment: The initial consultation is an extended appointment and includes taking a medical history. We need to be aware of any medical problems or medications that may either affect your treatment plan, or may have an effect on your feet over a period of time, so that we can continue to monitor your health and feet and continue to give you the appropriate advice and guidance.
Simply nails treatment: If your main concern or need is to have your toe nails looked after and there are no other pathological problems associated with them, such as extremely thickened or ingrowing, then you may qualify for the 'simply nails' treatment plan. This will be discussed and identified at your initial consultation.
Enhanced Treatment: This will include the routine treatment of any problematic or painful nails, the reduction of hard skin and verrucas, removal of corns, or further treatment identified in your initial consultation. As always, we will continue during these appointments, to provide advice as necessary on the care of your feet.
Biochemical Assessment: Most injuries or pain to the foot or feet will generally resolve by themselves over a period of time, but it can impact on your daily life and take some time to heal. Whilst we would love to be able to wave a magic wand and resolve any pain or complaint there and then, sometimes the best result is to reduce the time it takes to heal and more importantly the amount of pain or discomfort felt. This can be achieved with therapeutic intervention or treatment such as padding and strapping as part of an enhanced treatment.
