Sports Therapy and Massage It is inevitable that any athlete, from a football player to a ballerina or a rugby player to a gymnast, will at some point suffer an injury. Our body can become extremely over worked when we are playing sports which can put a lot of strain on our muscles, especially our joint muscles and lower back. Our highly trained massage experts can offer a unique sports massage to relax any tension and release you from the constant pain of these injuries.
Massage therapy is designed with the principle of treating the whole person. It aims to assist the body's natural abilities to heal and regulate itself and help to speed up recovery. Physiotherapy is different and is the medically proven skill involving making joints and muscles move in the way they are designed to, following an injury or accident. It is important to maintain flexibility and control in these joints and muscles and it is essential not allow them to become lazy and useless. No matter how minor the injury, not having your freedom can be extremely debilitating and demoralising. Action First Physio are here to help with any of your massage and physio therapy needs.
